Internet explorer 8 beta bug

I was just trying out IE 8 beta, which is just released, although it has some useful features, but there is a bug in it.
When you are using gmail chat with IE 8, it wont scroll down in the message window, it is very annoying. Hope they fix this soon.

Twitter not forwarding messages

Twitter is used to get the updates of your dear ones or friends either on PC or you can choose a device like cellphone to get the updates. This is a cool thing to get connected with your friends and know what they are doing.
I have started using Twitter sometime back and found it pretty impressive as one can also use it to publicize their sites or blogs.
But recently there seems to be a bug in it, as it is not relaying (forwarding) all the messages of the people i am following to my selected device (Cellphone).

Get Windows Live Hotmail Wave 3

Windows Live Hotmail Wave 3 will be implemented soon on your hotmail account with variety of new features including IM and ofcourse the new looks.
As the user base is large, it will take some time to implement.
There is no way to get wave 3 early by changing the country or region.

Microsoft to announce windows 7

After the failure of windows vista with lukewarm response from the users, Microsoft has decided to launch windows 7 which will be based on vista only sometime in late 2009 or early 2010.

It will be good for viewing photos. This time also they are not care of the compatibility issues before launching which is most crucial to the users.

Hardware has to be upgraded 1^st and then the software should be launched, lets see how this launch will be taken by the public.

Fallout 3 - India Controversy

Microsoft has decided not to launch Fallout 3 for its Indian consumers as it may create controvery. Some scenes are not suitable for the Indian audiences. For example, the survivors have 2 cows heads called brahmins and here in India this sect has an utmost respect in the society. This will create an unnecessary issue.

Google Chrome Flaws

Comparing Google Chrome with Firefox 3, there are some features which are really lacking in Google Chrome. First of all, it doesn't save text whatever I type in the search or the username of my email account. Second, I have to redirect my hotmail, as it doesn't recognize this browser. They should have taken care of all major email providers compatibility before launching. Third, lack of extensions unlike Firefox.
They can't hide their negligence under the cover of BETA.

Indian RAW proves its metal

Indian intelligence agencies proves its metal by showing that they are able to crack the 256 bit algorithm code used by blackberries to send mails.

Initially Indian government was not permitting blackberries to launch in India as it could lead to some serious security issues regarding sending emails from these devices and the government was not able to track them. They used to work only on the 8 bit algorithm.

This could be a hoax also, that they are now able to track the emails sent from these devices, just to create their image in the minds of the terrorists that "you are being watched". 

Google copies the concept

Google is working on sending group sms which is already established concept by other providers like 160by2.com, twitter, indyarocks etc. to name few. The only difference I found is that there won't be any ads in the text messages sent using the Google channels. That means users get the full 160 letters. Otherwise its the same concept.
Google has to stop this copying thing and need to come out with new innovative products. Google also launched google video which was a failure because Youtube was already well established in the market and finally they had to acquire youtube, it is a waste of resources.

Yamaha FZ16- Will it make it

Yamaha has launched its new 153 cc bike called Yamaha FZ16 in India and is priced at 65K. It says that its USP is its looks which are also promoted in the ad, but with the price tag of 65k will it be able to attract the riders......well may be as the company people are saying that those riders who use their bike as the fashion accessory will certainly go for it, whereas other bikes in the 150 cc segment are much cheaper than this.

Google Suggest

Google has come with a new search feature called "Google Suggest" like in the google toolbar of Firefox, but this feature is available only on Google.com and not on Google.co.in. Google will take some more time to implement this feature on other sites as well and finally on the google search bars on the various sites and may generate more revenue from it.

Apple Iphone fight

Apple Iphone has got lukewarm response when it came to sales, after creating the hype. In India it is coming with Vodafone and Airtel, but it is likely to flop as people are now aware of the in n out of it. Moreover, many have already got it from the grey market.

Although its a good addon for Firefox, but the problem with this is that if you are using your PC for multiple users, then the task that one gmail user creates and logs out, then another gmail user logs in into his gmail account, he can see the tasks of the previous user, as its a firefox plugin and not a gmail thing. Now Rediffmail will display feeds from your Orkut and Facebook accounts. This is a new feature that they have thought 1st and is likely be followed by others.

Google Lively-stealing the show

In a month or so, when more and more people will get to know of Google Lively, it will steal the users of Orkut and Facebook. It can be highly addictive as you can do anything in there, and Google keep on adding more features. It will be best if Google makes it open source.

My Google Lively experience

My experience with Google lively was mixed in the sense that I found some features really exciting while there are many things that I didn’t quite like. To start with, it’s similar to the second life. The features that I like are the animation kisses, hugs, fights etc. There was problem with the navigation, I mean the arrow keys are just opposite, after all its beta.

The things they can add upon can be the details of the faces like moustaches and beard.

And yes, this thing needs a good internet connection and a good configuration PC, my browser hanged after I am over with the game.

Today's Fortune on Orkut - Please remove it

The Today's Fortune feature on orkut is simply ridiculous, the thing it shows today in your own profile will show the same thing tomorrow in someone else's profile. It's more like thought for the day, CRAP!
Orkut should provide some feature to remove it.

New Yahoomail Ids - problem logging in

Although its a good thing that yahoo has done by providing new email ids, but the problem is that when you go to sign in, you have to write the whole address like priya@ymail.com to login which is really a pain and yahoo also doesn't allow on its page to remember the username. Yahoo should look into this problem.

Suggestions for Gmail

Although gmail is an award winning email service, but one I would like to add is that sometimes people make the gmail ids and then they forget about it ie. they stop using it, so gmail should look into this and deactivate their account like hotmail so that some other user can use that id.

Good news for Yahoo users

Good news for the yahoo users who use their yahoo account for accessing orkut can now use the same yahoo mail id to use gtalk. Simply sign in with your yahoo username and yahoo password.

Infosys - Employees Hell

It all started with a suicide at infosys, post at my other blog- not to forget the comments that people posted there. They don't even ask their employees during interview "Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?", a basic question that is asked in every interview. The reason is clear, infosys just don't care about their employees, they are merely the hardworking donkeys. Another complaint that is coming from the infosys employees is that they are not assigned the project in which they are given the training i.e they are given the training in .NET and they will put you in some other VB project.

MTV roadies contestant Shambhavi Sharma got to do movie "The Little Godfather" produced by Ekta Kapoor and Sunil Shetty. She was really surprised when she got the offer and is now quite excited about it.

160by2.com reminder feature

I tried using the reminder feature of 160by2.com to set a sms reminder of my friend. I gave my number and the reminder was supposed to send me sms about my friend's birthday and it missed. This service by 160by2.com needs more improvement. Thank god I had also set the reminder on my cell phone and I could wish him.

Google indexing confusing

When i thought that i have understood the indexing done by google, it again stumped me. I have 17 published posts on my blog and it is indexing only 9 posts. All my latest posts are indexed but not the previous one's. I don't know what is wrong with it. If some one reading this post can help me out. I know indexing is such a vast topic and i will never be able to completely understand it. If someone knows of the google indexing tips please help me out.

Cell phones not good for the children and pregnant women-Indian Govt.

The debate has been continuing for quite some time about the harmful effects of using cell phones. Now Indian Govt. has asked the cell phone operators like airtel, idea, vodaphone etc. not to issue cell phones to the children below 16 years of age and asked the pregnant women not to use them as this could hamper the brain development of the child. But children are so much used to it that it is almost impossible to take away from them. It is not a luxury anymore, but a necessity. Some of the parents are taking the connection in their name and giving the cell phones to their kids. So the need of the hour is to educate and convince the parents 1st.

Twitter - charges for cellphones

I found twitter not that useful but this is post for all those who want to know the pricing of sending and receiving sms using the twitter service which states in its "Terms of use" that all the sending and receiving is free. I used this service for a month and i am using airtel (Delhi) postpaid connection. So the receiving is free but there is charge of Rs.3 per sms that you send to twitter website which further gets relayed to your twitter friends.

Romania UFO attack

I am hearing the news of an attack on MIG of Romania by some 4 UFOs. Every week these kind of news comes up and nothing really turns up. It is just the eye-catcher of the TV channels for the viewers to get the TRP. This is ridiculous. I think its just the hallucination of the pilots they get under the G force that they experience during the flight.

Apple has launched the new iPhone 3G which it says will cost around 199$ all over the world. But what about the data plans that comes with the operator, nothing is mentioned about that. So keep your fingers crossed as they are launched in various countries and then it will come to India, so the situation will be clear by then.

Google indexing acting weird

I think I have to review my other post about google indexing. When I created the blog, it was indexed within hours, but now a strange thing is happening. Now when i check my blog's indexing, its showing that no pages are currently indexed, thats strange.

Bug in Firefox3

I was trying the new firefox 3 and the bug that i found while using rediff.com. When i use IE7, it automatically remembers my password if i i choose it to remember my password, but no such option comes in firefox3, even if it comes, it doesn't remember the password for rediff.com.

For other sites its working fine.

Apple iphone 3G to launch with airtel and vodafone in India

Apple has decided to launch the 3G iphone (iphone ii) with airtel and vodafone this year in India, however the launch date and pricing is not yet disclosed.
So keep your fingers crossed as they will first launch it in other countries and then in India.

Adsense didn't approve me

I had applied for the adsense on my blog, today i got the reply from that they cannot allow adsense on my blog as my blog don't provide any unique content. That's strange! I have just imported my prev. posts which were on worpress and moreover i used to use adsense before on my other blogs with the simila kind of content. May be they have changed their policies, i am gonna reapply to them.

Orkut today has introduced community recommendations that suit your profile, however they have provided teh option to turn that off if you find it troublesome, i am still to figure out what is the use of this service.

Google's powerful indexing

I created my blog on blogger today as i wanted to shift from wordpress, and guess what, my blog was listed in google in just 2 hours, thats great. I don't know whether its the google blogger (as they have taken up blogger) or my submit url thing, that worked, but now my blog is there on google.

Airtel Broadband -excellent service

I have been enjoying the broadband service of Airtel for over 4 years and never faced a problem, that's too good for an ISP. Now I have got a sms from them stating that they will be down for 6 hours during the night, I think that will be fine with the users, as they served them flawlessly and they too need some maintainance. Atleast they have notified their users, unlike other ISP which do their maintainance during the peak hours without even notifying their users.

Orkut - New Themes

Finally orkut is coming out with new features and not merely copying the facebook. This time they have rolled out some themes to dress your profile page a bit, but i still find it pretty childish, they can do better.
Moreover, i don't understand, why dont they go the open source way, it gives a push to this social networking site. I was reading "The Google Story" where they mentioned that they prefer to go the open source way unlike microsoft, so why is orkut an exception.
